Hi! I'm Amanda and I want to welcome you to my app, The Fit Foodie!

I believe that fitness & nutrition can and should be realistic, sustainable, and enjoyable... and my passion is to help you build lasting habits that you will actually LOVE! After much trial & error in my own fitness journey, I have come to realize that what brings results is not what restricts, exhausts, or depletes... in fact it's the complete opposite! Proper fitness & nutrition should strengthen and energize you, allowing you to eat MORE, stress LESS, and get FITTER! All of this falls under building a healthy metabolism, which by and large there is a lot of misconception around how to actually do so.

Well-structured strength training, as well as proper protein & nutrient intake are imperative to transforming your body and getting results that will stick. This does not need to be complicated and in fact shouldn't be - and you will find everything that you need to do so right here on The Fit Foodie app! 

I'm a multi-certified personal trainer (ACSM, TRX, BeatBoss Biking) with a degree in Exercise Science, as well as an ACE certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist. I have been in the industry for the past 10 years, having trained for large gyms & small fitness studios alike as well as recently owning my own. 

I am pumped to be able to deliver my total body workout routine and favorite, healthy meals & groceries directly to you through the app! Take me with you in your back pocket to the gym, your kitchen, and the grocery store and fall in love with getting strong, eating better, firing up your metabolism and enjoying life!

WEEKLY WORKOUTS

Every two weeks you will find a new set of lifts in the Weekly Lift section. These lifts are created to be 50-60 minutes long as is OR you can modify for 30 minute sessions. These are focused weight lifting sessions to progressively overload every muscle each week - toning your body & improving your metabolic health. The Weekly Lift is a total body-split focus, and full instructions are given for how to work the lift and customize it to your needs.

Here you will also cardio guidelines, mobility work including warm-ups & stretches, my favorite workout playlists and more!


CUSTOM MACROS

Get your recommendations for protein, fats, carbs & calories based on your fitness goals DIRECTLY from Amanda! This is not just any old calculator - get a personalized assessment from the fitness & nutrition professional based on your needs. You must have an active account & subscription (not for free trial users); fill out the macro assessment form HERE and receive your custom macros within 5 business days!


MEAL BUILDER

In this section, I give you my favorite easy, macro-friendly recipes & meal ideas! Pick your protein source and easily build your plate, or browse through entire menus of my favorites. All recipes are gluten-free unless otherwise specified, and nutrition info is given in recipes whenever applicable.


GROCERY LISTS

FREE FULL ACCESS without a subscription! Here you will find simple grocery lists to guide you while out shopping, or just give you more ideas for different meal items or snacks to try! Each item & recommendation has been selected for its overall nutritional quality - you will find a "nutrition note" on many products with any ingredients worth noting that may not be the best choice for you. Grocery lists are given for essentials, prepared foods, snacks, condiments, and by a few of my favorite stores. All items are gluten-free unless otherwise specified. 


FORM TUTORIAL VIDEOS

If you are newer to strength training and want to learn proper form for staple movements, check out the Form Videos in the Workout section of the app. These are guided video tutorials for you to follow along with and learn from Amanda.
